Your keys, your choice of model for every kind of work, Claude for the thinking by default. SHAI's own reasoning runs on the Claude Agent SDK on your own Anthropic key, because that SDK runs only Claude. The bulk work — extracting, summarising, classifying, first drafts and checks — runs on whichever model you choose, on your own OpenAI, Google, DeepSeek or OpenRouter key. SHAI does not claim to run its own reasoning on any model you like, because no product built on this SDK can.

Where Claude Tag is the better pick

If your company already pays for Claude Team or Enterprise and your work happens in Slack threads, Claude Tag is the better pick and costs you nothing extra to try.
It is made by the company that makes the model SHAI's own reasoning runs on. For engineering work inside a channel, that is the shortest path between a question and an answer.
